Measuring Your Torso
Getting your torso measurement is important to choosing the right sized pack.
You’ll need:
Soft tape measure OR a string and a regular tape measure
A partner to help (preferably)
Begin by locating your C7 vertebrae. This part of your spine is at the base of your neck between your shoulders. It is the large humped part.
Next, locate your Iliac crest. Put your hands on your hips with your thumbs pointing inward towards one another. Draw a line to the center of your back from thumb to thumb.
Measure between these two points. Make sure the tape measure or string is touching your back the entire way down, and not drawn tight pulling away from your back.
*Typical (not everyone) torso measurements are from 15”-21”.
